WARNING
Oil sprayed from an improperly installed oil filter head assembly can cause fire in the engine compartment.
NOTE
After torquing screws (1), go back and recheck torque. If any screws move during recheck, repeat
torquing process again after a short wait.

Operate engine and thoroughly check transmission (and engine) to make certain that no oil leaks are evident before
placing vehicle back into service.
NOTE
Follow-on maintenance:
Close engine transmission access doors (see paragraph 9-55)
