RECOVERY PROCEDURES (CON'T.)
PROCEDURES (CON'T.)
RECO
STEP 8. YOU ARE READY
Signal the operators to apply winch power and recover the
load. Be alert and make sure that nothing obstructs the opera-
tions of the equipment, and that all personnel on the ground
remain at a safe location.
NOTE: This eight-step procedure should be followed
during all recovery operations. To assist in memorizing
these steps and their sequence, they are arranged so
that the first letter of each step will spell out the word
"Recovery." This plan is of value to recovery crews,
for application and supervision, and also to
commanders for determining the efficiency of their
recovery crews and their need for training.
