U n u s a b l e C A R C m i x t u r e s m a y b e c o n s i d e r e d h a z a r d o u s w a s t e a n d m a y r e q u i re disposal in accordance with Federal, state, DOD, and DA hazardous waste regula- tions. Consult the installation environmental office for proper disposal guidance. Mixed CARC has a flashpoint of approximately 38 °F (3 °C) due to the incorporation o f s o l v e n t s a n d i s h i g h l y f l a m m a b l e. Complete painting is authorized for and done by general support maintenance personnel or higher. CARC paint that has been opened must be used within 8 hours or it will deteriorate beyond use.
