Install new flywheel housing gasket (3) on d i e s e l e n g i n e ( 4 ) . Install flexible shaft coupling (5), new pre- f o r m e d p a c k i n g ( 6 ) , 1 2 n e w s e l f - l o c k i ng bolts (7), and retainer (8) on diesel engine ( 4 ). Lift and carefully swing engine from sup- port. install diesel engine (4) to transmis- sion and transfer assemblies (2 and 1). Install 14 new Iockwashers (9), nine 1 - 1 / 2 - i n . h e x a g o n h e a d c a p s c r e w s ( 1 0 ), t h r e e 2 - 1 / 4 - i n . h e x a g o n h e a d c a p s c r e ws (11), and two 3-1/2-in. hexagon head cap- screws (12) securing diesel engine (4) to t r a n s f e r a s s e m b l y ( 1 ) . 2 - 37
