TM 9-2350-238-34-212 If damaged, remove three drive screws(15) and boom winch control cylinderbarrel identification plate (16) fromcylinder boom barrel (3).INSPECTION/REPAIR1 Inspect for broken, damaged, or missing parts.2 If cylinder boom barrel is broken, damaged, or missing, repair is by replacement of nexthigher assembly.3 If any kit component is damaged, replace entire repair parts kit.4 Repair is by replacement of authorized parts (TM 9-2350-238-24P-2).1 If removed, install new boom winch con-trol cylinder barrel identification plate (1)and three new drive screws (2).2Apply sealing compound (item 19, appx B)to threads of boom cylinder piston rod endconnector (3).Do not place piston in vise fordisassembly. Damage can result,causing malfunction or leakage.3 Using strap wrench, screw boom cylinderpiston rod end connector (3) into hydraulicpiston (4) until it bottoms againsthydraulic piston shoulder.2-91
