(a)
General. Each M8A3 GPFU supplies filtered air to four or fewer persons in the crew compartment. It
removes all known chemical agents, dust, and other particles from the air. Two units are installed in
the vehicle. Filtered breathing air is supplied through the hoses to the M25A1 mask worn at each
crew member and passenger station. The illustration and legend below show the layout of the
system in the vehicle.
