CHAPTER 3: MAINTENANCE OF ENGINE TM 9-2350-256-20 3-12 REPLACE OIL COOLER PRESSURE-ACTUATED BYPASS VALVE THIS TASK COVERS a. Removal b. Installation INITIAL SET-UP Tools: Part: Equipment Condition: Tool kit, general mechanic's Gasket (Appendix G, item 84) Grille doors removed (see (Appendix C, item 53) paragraph 9-57) a. REMOVAL Remove oil cooler bypass valve plug (1), gasket (2), spring (3), and plunger (4). b. INSTALLATION Install plunger (4), spring (3), new gasket (2), and oil cooler bypass valve plug (1). NOTE Follow-on maintenance: Install grille doors (see paragraph 9-57) 3-13 REPLACE GENERATOR AIR INTAKE TUBE THIS TASK COVERS a. Removal b. Installation INITIAL SET-UP Tools: Parts: Equipment Condition: Tool kit, general mechanic's Lockwashers (2) (Appendix G, Grille doors removed (see (Appendix C, item 53) item 130) paragraph P57) Lockwashers (2) (Appendix G, item 131) a. Removal 1 Remove two screws (1), two lockwashers (2), and clamp (3) from air intake tube (4). 2 Remove air intake tube (4) from hose (5) by removing clamp (6). 3 Remove hose (7) from hose (8) by removing two clamps (9). 4 Remove mounting bracket (10) by removing two screws (11) and two lockwashers (12). 3-32
