Failure to comply may result in damage to mainwinch.Minimum engine speed for winching is 1,000 rpm. Engine speed for normal operatingconditions is 1,800 rpm. Engine should be increased to a maximum of 2,000 rpm for hotweather or continuous operation. Operating outside of limits may result in damage toequipment.Start pay out of main winch cable slowly. Fast initial payout can cause the cable to unspool.Failure to comply may result in damage to the main winch.1. Refer to FM 9--43--2, Vehicle Recovery Operations, to calculate the recovery weight of the disabled vehicle.2. Refer to WP 0100 00 for illustration of fleet angle.1. Prepare auxiliary winch for operation (WP 0049 00).2. Position spade to stabilize M88A2 (WP 0046 00).
