Crewmembers shouldreport all malfunctions that are seen, felt or heard to the vehicle commander first. Troubleshooting the M88A2 re-quires crewmembers to perform unscheduled and scheduled maintenance procedures and to monitor system func-tions at all times. Discovering and correcting a problem when it first appears will usually result in less serious dam-age to the vehicle and provide safer conditions for crewmembers. When a fault or malfunction is encountered, usethe malfunction index for fault identification.
