Operate engine (WP 0012 00) and warm trans-mission oil to temperature between 180° to 200°F(82° to 93°C). To reach desired transmission oil tem-perature it may be necessary to perform high rangestall. To perform high range stall: depress and holdbrake in applied position, place transmission in 3rdrange and run engine at full throttle for no longer than30 seconds. Return engine speed to idle. If required, repeat procedure after 60 seconds of idling to attainproper transmission oil temperature. Shut down engine(WP 0019 00).CAUTIONTo verify that proper transmission oil is present, itis very important that transmission oil is at correcttemperature and that correct amount of time (3--5minutes) has passed before reading gauge rod.Failure to comply may result in an inaccurate oillevel reading. If vehicle is operated with trans-mission oil levelbelow ADD mark, reliability anddurability of the transmission may be reduced.Open left side engine deck grille and exhaust deflector (WP0032 00).
