TM 9-2350-256-10 (5) Check controls before starting vehicle: CAUTION Before operating vehicle, FUEL CONTROL VALVE FORWARD TANK must be closed. (a) Ensure MASTER switch (1) and vehicle light switch (2) are OFF. FUEL PUMP switch (3) is generally left ON. Cover over FUEL PUMP switch ensures this. Turn switch OFF if MASTER switch is on and main engine is not going to be run. 2-97
