Contact with these areas can causesevere burns. Smoke generator toxic fumes should not be inhaled. Clear areaof all personnel and keep vehicle downwind of installation during test.CAUTIONTurn off radio and electrical switches before starting engine.NOTEIf crew compartment is closed up,ensure air cleaner air control housinghandles (1) are set on OUTSIDE airsource before starting engine.(1)Ensure transmission shift selector (2) is in P. Depress brake (3) to lock it in position. Ensure steeringwheel (4) is centered and locked.NOTEEnsure fuel tank FUEL CONTROL VALVES are properly positioned (see para.2-11i).(2)Turn MASTER switch (5) on. Check FUEL PUMP switch (6) is ON.NOTEWhen MASTER switch is on, the master and mechanical transmission warninglights will stay on until engine is running.
