When loosening bolt, tap head ofbolt with hammer to loosen wedge.NOTEPerform step (3) for manual pullers and step (4) for hydraulic pullers.(3)Tighten end connector puller (4) screws against end of track link pins (5). Strike heads of endconnector screws sharply with hammer to help loosen end connector (3) from track link pins. Take upslack by tightening end connector puller screws. Tighten end connector puller screws equally so endconnector moves squarely off track link pins. Stop using hammer when just tightening screws movesend connector. Stop when end connector has moved 1 in. (25 mm) from track.NOTERepeat steps (2) and (3) for inside end connector using a manual puller.3-23
