General Statements
Scope
This Work Package provides lubrication instructions, procedures, and information on the authorized lubricants, lubrication
intervals, and Army Oil Analysis Program (AOAP) for the M88A1 Medium Recovery Vehicle.
Lubrication Intervals and Interval Symbols
The lubrication instructions found in this Work Package are presented in grouped sequence by location. Intervals (on-condition
or hard-time) and related man-hour times are based on normal operation. The man-hour time specified is the time you need to do
all the services prescribed for a particular interval. The following symbols are used to indicate how often the lubrication services
will be performed.

* If AOAP support is not available and hard-time intervals are used, 2 man-hours will be required for each 25-hour period or
monthly (whichever comes first); additionally, quarterly labor requirements will increase by 1.3 man-hours, and semiannual
requirements will increase by 2.5 man-hours.
