INSPECTION1Inspect valve cage (8) for cracks, warping, andscored bearing and mating surfaces. Replace ifworn or damaged.2Inspect valve stem (4) for scored bearing surface,bends, cracks, nicks, dents, and corrosion. Replaceif worn or damaged.3Inspect actuating spring (5) for signs of fatigue,damage, or deformation. Replace if damaged ordeformed.4Inspect valve (9) bearing for nicks, dents, scoredbearing surface, and out-of-roundness. Replace ifdefective.d.
