CHAPTER 2: VEHICLE MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONSTM 9-2350-256-202-19 ELECTRICAL TROUBLESHOOTING-ContinuedENGINE FUEL SHUTOFF SOLENOID- -ContinuedWARNINGRemove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags,bracelets, etc. If jewelry contacts a metalsurface a direct short may result in instantheating of tools, damage to equipment, andinjury or death to personnel.C Reconnect wire 54A of switch panel to head lamps andbulkhead wiring harness to fire extinguisher interlockswitch. Disconnect wire 54A on output side of fireextinguisher interlock switch from connector. Place redlead of multimeter in wire 54A and black lead to ground.Turn MASTER switch on, release fire extinguisherinterlock switch, and check for voltage. Turn MASTERand fire extinguisher interlock switches OFF. If voltage ispresent, reconnect wire 54A on output side of fireextinguisher interlock switch to connector and, go to stepD. If voltage is not present, repair/replace fireextinguisher interlock switch assembly (see paragraph 6-16).D Reconnect switch panel to neutral safety to bulkheadwiring harness to main switch panel. Install main switchpanel (5), flat washer (4), ground lead (3), threelockwashers (2), and three screws (1) to mountingbrackets. Open air inlet doors (TM 9-2350-256-10).Disconnect bulkhead to engine wiring harness and starterrelay wiring harness from bulkhead. Place red lead ofmultimeter on pin D of wire 54 and black lead to ground.Turn MASTER and ENGINE FUEL SHUTOFF switcheson, and check for voltage. Turn MASTER and ENGINEFUEL SHUTOFF switches OFF. If voltage is present, goto step E. If voltage is not present, repair/replace wire 54of switch panel to neutral safety to bulkhead wiringharness (see paragraph 6-54).2-82
