In an emergency the boom may beraised or lowered under no--load conditions using auxiliary hydraulic system. The boom controls are in operator’sarea.WARNINGDo not stand on top of vehicle while boom is being raised or lowered. Failure to comply mayresult in boom impacting personnel causing injury or DEATH to personnel.CAUTIONIf powerpack is removed, and APU is non--operational, leave boom in full raised posi-tion. Do not attempt to lower boom; damage to boom, boom cylinders and hydraulicsystem could occur.To avoid damage to the boom and hydraulic system, always keep boom in stowedposition when not in use.NOTEIn extreme or emergency cases, notify unit maintenance to ground hop APU and lower boom.
