Operate engine (TM 9--2350--292--10)and warm transmission oil to atemperature between 180_ to 200_F (82_to 93_C). To reach desired transmissionoil temperature it may be necessary toperform high range stall. To perform highrange stall: depress and hold brake pedalin applied position, place transmission in3rd range and run engine at full throttle fornot longer than 30 seconds. Returnengine speed to idle. If required, repeatprocedure after 60 seconds of idling toattain proper transmission oil temperature.s. Shut down engine(TM 9--2350--292--10).CAUTIONTo verify that proper transmission oil lev-el is present, it is very important thattransmission oil is correct temperatureand that correct amount of time (3 to 5minutes) has passed before reading oilgauge rod. Failure to comply may resultin an inaccurate oil level reading. If thevehicle is operated with transmission oillevel below ADD mark, reliability and du-rability of the transmission assemblymay be reduced.
