If previous service was not conductedwithin previous 18 months, conduct service of turretbearing.REMOVAL 123456Use a hoist and slings of 30,000 lb(13,620 kg) minimum lifting capaci-ty to prevent injury to personnel anddamage to equipment.NOTECheck the position of the plain bear-ing unit before removing it from thecab assembly, The plain bearing unitshould be rotated 180 degrees fromthe original position after scheduledmaintenance has been performed toprevent uneven wear.Scribe a reference line between the plainbearing unit and hull before removal.Insert crowbar in boom hinge pin uppersockets (1).Provide hoist and chain slings of 30,000lb (13,620 kg) minimum lifting capacity.Attach chain slings to crowbar and liftingeyes (2) on cab (3).Using ratchet, remove 28 hexagon headcapscrews (4) and 28 Iockwashers (5).Using hoist and chain sling, lift cab (3)from plain bearing unit (6) and place onwood blocks.2-270Change 1
