TM 9-2350-238-34-2INSPECTION/REPAIR1 Inspect for broken, damaged, or missing parts.Dry cleaning solvent (SD2) is toxic and flammable. Wear protective goggles andgloves and use only in well-ventilated area.2 Remove adhesive from upper and lower surfaces of outer race (1) with wire brush and drycleaning solvent (item 5, appx B).3 Remove sealing compound from seal retaining plates (2) and hexagon head capscrews (3)with wire brush and dry cleaning solvent (item 5, appx B).4 Clean retainers (4) with soft brush and mild soap solution.5 If turret filler plug is broken, damaged, or missing, repair is by replacement of next higherassembly.6 Outer race is unserviceable if there are five or more pits within a 12.00 in. (30.48 cm)distance, or any pit is more than 1.00 in. (2.54 cm) long, 0.06 in. (0.16 cm) wide, or 0.03in. (0.08 cm) deep.7 If inner race is broken, damaged, or missing, repair is by replacement of next higher assembly.8 If outer race is broken, damaged, or missing, repair is by replacement of next higherassembly.9 Repair is by replacement of authorized parts (TM 9-2350-238-24P-2) which do not meet in-spection criteria.2-275
