Make sure no adhesive is ap-plied to surface of seal that contactsinner race.Coat seal mounting surface of seal re-taining ring (18) with adhesive (item 1,appx B).Coat mounting edges of new upper sealassembly (19) with adhesive (item 1,appx B).Beginning at one end of seal retainingring (18), install new upper sealassembly around seal retaining ring andtrim to length.Install seal retaining ring (18) with endscentered on clip mounting surface ofouter race (1). Fit edge of seal retainingring into groove in outer race with upperseal assembly (19) fitted against surfaceof inner race (2).Coat threads of two hexagon headcapscrews (20) with sealing compound(item 18, appx B).Install turret keeper plate (21) and outerseal retaining strap (22) over ends ofseal retaining ring (18) and secure withtwo new Iockwashers (23) and two hex-agon head capscrews (20).Apply adhesive” silicone (item 2, appx B)around turret keeper plate (21), outerseal retaining strap (22), and retainingring ( 18) where it contacts outer race(1).2-280
