Place redmultimeter lead on positive post and black lead toground. Check for voltage. If voltage is below 18 Vdc,clean, tighten, repair, or replace necessary cables.Crank engine and check voltage. If voltage is stillbelow 18 Vdc, go to step B.BPlace red multimeter lead on positive post and blacklead on negative post of battery 1. Voltage readingshould not be below 9 Vdc. Repeat on batteries 2, 3,4, 5, and 6. If any battery voltage is below 9 Vdcreplace battery (see paragraph 6-4).2-59
