CHAPTER 2: VEHICLE MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS TM 9-2350-256-202-19 ELECTRICAL TROUBLESHOOTING-ContinuedMASTER RELAY SYSTEM AND SLAVE RECEPTACLE-ContinuedWARNINGRemove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags,bracelets, etc. If jewelry contacts a metalsurface a direct short may result in instantheating of tools, damage to equipment,and injury or death to personnel.GReconnect wire 400 to bulkhead side of 30 A circuitbreaker. Disconnect wire 400 from battery side of 30 Acircuit breaker. Place red lead of multimeter in wire400 and black lead to ground. Turn MASTER switchon and check for voltage. Turn MASTER switch off. Ifvoltage is present, replace 30 A circuit breaker. Ifvoltage is not present, troubleshoot battery circuit.HClose air inlet doors (TM 9-2350-256-10). Raise boom(TM 9-2350-256-10). Open air inlet doors. Place redlead of multimeter on wire 49 at positive terminal andblack lead to ground. Turn MASTER switch on andcheck for voltage. Turn MASTER switch OFF. Ifvoltage is present, go to step I. If voltage is notpresent, replace/repair wire 49 of batteries to masterrelay, voltage regulators, slave receptacle, and enginedisconnect wiring harness (see paragraph 6-41 for dualvoltage; 6-42 for single voltage).IPlace red lead of multimeter on wire 50 at negativeterminal and black lead to ground. Check forcontinuity. If continuity is present, replace rear slavereceptacle (see paragraph 6-77). If continuity is notpresent, replace/repair bulkhead rear slave receptaclewiring harness (see paragraph 6-77).2-64
