SECTION V: TROUBLESHOOTING TM 9-2350-256-20WARNINGRemove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags,bracelets, etc. If jewelry contacts a metalsurface a direct short may result in instantheating of tools, damage to equipment, andinjury or death to personnel.FReconnect wire 1 of bulkhead to engine bracket andrear fuel tank transmitter wiring harness to thebulkhead to engine wiring harness and starter relaywiring harness. Disconnect wire 1 of bulkhead toengine bracket and rear fuel tank transmitter wiringharness from bulkhead to APU, master relay, andrigger's lights wiring harness. Place red lead ofmultimeter on male connector of wire 1 and black leadto ground. Turn MASTER switch on, start engine,open generator cutout switch and check for voltage.Turn engine and MASTER switch OFF, and closegenerator cutout switch. If voltage is present,repair/replace wire 1 of bulkhead to APU, masterrelay, and rigger's lights wiring harness (seeparagraph 6-75). If voltage is not present, go to stepI.GRemove engine deck (see paragraph 9-51).Reconnect engine voltage regulator to enginedisconnect wiring harness to engine voltage regulator.Disconnect generator power lead assembly fromengine disconnect. Place red lead of multimeter insocket A of wire 2 and black lead to ground. TurnMASTER switch on, start engine, open generatorcutout switch and check for voltage. Turn engine andMASTER switch OFF, and close generator cutoutswitch. If voltage is not present, repair/replace wire 2of engine voltage regulator to engine disconnectwiring harness (see paragraph 6-43). If voltage ispresent, go to step H.H Remove powerplant (see paragraph 3-1). Place redlead of multimeter on terminal of generator and blacklead to ground. Turn MASTER switch on, startengine, open generator cutout switch and check forvoltage. Turn engine and MASTER switch OFF, andclose generator cutout switch. If voltage is notpresent, repair/replace wire 2 of generator power leadassembly (see paragraph 6-36). If voltage is present,replace engine generator (see paragraph 6-1).2-127
