SECTION V: TROUBLESHOOTINGTM 9-2350-256-20WARNINGRemove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags,bracelets, etc. If jewelry contacts a metalsurface a direct short may result in instantheating of tools, damage to equipment, andinjury or death to personnel.AOpen air inlet doors (TM 9-2350-256-10). Disconnectbatteries to master relay, voltage regulator, slavereceptacle, and engine disconnect wiring harnessfrom engine regulator. Place red lead of multimeteron pin A of wire 2/62 and black lead to ground. TurnMASTER switch on and check for voltage. TurnMASTER switch OFF. If voltage is present, go to stepB. If voltage is not present, troubleshoot batterycircuit.BReconnect batteries to master relay, voltageregulator, slave receptacle, and engine disconnectwiring harness to engine regulator. Disconnect APUand engine armature relays to voltage regulator wiringharness from engine regulator. Place red lead ofmultimeter on pin D of wire 1/61 and black lead toground. Turn MASTER switch on, start engine andclose generator output switch and check for voltage.Turn engine and MASTER switch OFF, and opengenerator output switch. If voltage is present, go tostep I. If voltage is not present, go to step C.CPlace red lead of multimeter on pin A of wire 2/62 andblack lead to ground. Turn MASTER switch on, startengine, open generator cutout switch and check forvoltage. Turn engine and MASTER switch OFF, andclose generator cutout switch. If voltage is notpresent, replace engine regulator (see paragraph 6-6).If voltage is present, go to step D.2-131
