CHAPTER 2: VEHICLE MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS TM 9-2350-256-202-19ELECTRICAL TROUBLESHOOTING-ContinuedENGINE GENERATOR (SINGLE VOLTAGE SYSTEM)-ContinuedWARNINGRemove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags,bracelets, etc. If jewelry contacts a metalsurface a direct short may result in instantheating of tools, damage to equipment, andinjury or death to personnel.JReconnect bulkhead to engine bracket and rear fueltank transmitter to switching relay box. Disconnectbulkhead to engine wiring harness and starter relaywiring harness from bulkhead. Place red lead ofmultimeter in socket E of wire 1 and black lead toground. Turn MASTER switch on, start engine, closegenerator cutout switch and check for voltage. Ifvoltage is present, go to step K. If voltage is notpresent, go to step 0.KReconnect bulkhead to engine bracket and rear fueltank transmitter wiring harness to switching relay box.Disconnect electrical accessories panel wiring harnessfrom electrical accessories panel. Place red lead ofmultimeter in socket C of wire 1 and black lead toground. Turn MASTER switch on and check forvoltage. Turn MASTER switch OFF. If voltage ispresent, go to step L. If voltage is not present,repair/replace wire 1 of electrical accessories panelwiring harness.LPlace red lead of multimeter in socket H of wire 1 andblack lead to ground. Turn MASTER switch on, startengine, close generator cutout switch, and check forvoltage. If voltage is present, go to step M. If voltageis not present, go to step R.2-134
