CHAPTER 2: VEHICLE MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS TM 9-2350-256-202-19ELECTRICAL TROUBLESHOOTING-ContinuedENGINE GENERATOR (DUAL VOLTAGE SYSTEM a--ContinuedWARNINGRemove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags,bracelets, etc. If jewelry contacts a metalsurface a direct short may result in instantheating of tools, damage to equipment, andinjury or death to personnel.IReconnect bulkhead to engine wiring harness andstarter relay wiring harness to bulkhead disconnect.Remove engine deck (see paragraph 9-51).Disconnect bulkhead to engine bracket and rear fueltank transmitterwiring harness from enginedisconnect. Place red lead of multimeter in socket Cof wire 1 and black lead to ground. Turn MASTERswitch on, start engine, open generator cutout switchand check for voltage. Turn engine and MASTERswitch OFF and close generator cutout switch. Ifvoltage is present, repair/replace wire 1 of bulkhead toengine bracket and rear fuel tank transmitter wiringharness (see paragraph 6-73). If voltage is notpresent, go to step J.JRemove four screws (4), four lockwashers (5), andrelease accessories panel (6). Disconnect wire 1(from socket D) from generator cutout switch. Placered lead of multimeter in wire 1 and black lead toground. Turn MASTER switch on and check forvoltage. Turn MASTER switch OFF. If voltage ispresent, go to step K. If voltage is not presentrepair/replace wire 1 of bilge pump main power wiringharness from socket D (see paragraph 6-84).2-128
