SECTION V: TROUBLESHOOTINGTM 9-2350-256-20WARNINGRemove all jewelry such as rings, dogtags, bracelets, etc. If jewelry contacts ametal surface a direct short may result ininstant heatingof tools, damage toequipment, and injury or death topersonnel.KReconnect wire 487 to 15 A circuit. Disconnect wire487A from PREHEAT switch side of 15 A circuitbreaker. Place red lead of multimeter in wire 487A andblack lead to ground. Turn MASTER and PREHEATswitches ON, and check for voltage. Turn MASTERand PREHEAT switches OFF. If voltage is present,replace circuit breaker (see paragraph 13-7). If voltageis not present, go to step L.LReconnect wire 487A to PREHEAT switch side ofcircuit breaker. Disconnect wire 487A fromPREHEAT switch. Place red lead of multimeter onterminal of preheat switch and black lead to ground.Turn MASTER and PREHEAT switches ON, and checkfor voltage. Turn MASTER and PREHEAT switchesOFF. If voltage is present, repair/replace wire 487A ofAPU control box wiring harness (see paragraph 13-7).If voltage is not present, go to step M.MReconnect wire 487A to PREHEAT switch. DisconnectGND wire from PREHEAT switch. Place red lead ofmultimeter in GND wire and black lead to ground.Turn MASTER and APU GEN switches ON and checkfor voltage. Turn MASTER and APU GEN switchesOFF. If voltage is present, replace PREHEAT switch(see paragraph 13-7). If voltage is not present, replaceGND wire of APU control box wiring harness (seeparagraph 13-7).2-167
