Remove powerplant (see paragraph3-1). Disconnect wire 509 from engine high oiltemperature switch. Place red lead of multimeterin wire 509 and black lead to ground. Turn MASTERswitch on, start engine, set to idle, and check forvoltage. Turn engine and MASTER switch OFF. Ifvoltage is present, replace engine high oiltemperature switch (see paragraph 6-22). Ifvoltage is not present, go to step N.N Disconnect wire 509 from engine low oil pressureswitch. Place red lead of multimeter in wire 509and black lead to ground. Turn MASTER switch on,start engine, set to idle, and check for voltage. Turnengine and MASTER switch OFF. If voltage ispresent, replace engine low oil pressure switch (seeparagraph 6-22). If voltage is not present, go tostep O.O Disconnect wire 509 from transmission high oiltemperature switch. Place red lead of multimeterin wire 509 and black lead to ground. Turn MASTERswitch on, start engine, set to idle, and check forvoltage. Turn engine and MASTER switch OFF. Ifvoltage is present, replace transmission high oiltemperature switch (see paragraph 6-19). Ifvoltage is not present at any of the switches,repair/replace wire 509 of engine wiring harness(see paragraph 6-58 for dual voltage; 6-59 for singlevoltage).2-218
