Remove cotter pin (5), nut (6), flat washer (7) if present, latch (8), spring washer (9) and handle (10) from stowagedoor assembly (1). Discard cotter pin and spring washer.2. Remove two self--locking nuts (11) and two screws (12), separate armor plate (13) from stowage door assembly(1). Discard self--locking nuts.3. Remove seal (14) from stowage door (15). Discard seal.4. Inspect parts for damage and replace as required.AssemblyWARNING1. Clean seal mating surface on stowage door (15) with dry--cleaning solvent.2. Apply rubber based adhesive to new seal (14) and seal mating surface on stowage door (15).3. Install new seal (14) on stowage door (15).4. Install armor plate (13) on stowage door assembly (1) with two screws (12) and two new self--locking nuts (11).5. Install handle (10) and latch (8) on stowage door assembly (1) with new spring washer (9), nut (6) and new cotterpin (5). Flat washer (7) is only required if cotter pin (5) does not engage the slots in nut (6) when handle parts areassembled.Figure 207657891111415131012
