Remove cotter pin (5), nut (6), flat washer (7) if present, latch (8), spring washer (9) and handle (10) from fueldoor assembly (1). Discard cotter pin and spring washer.2. Remove six drive screws (11) and plate (12) from fuel door assembly (1).3. Remove four self--locking nuts (13) and four screws (14), separate armor plate (15) from fuel door assembly (1).Discard self--locking nuts.4. Remove rubber strip (16) from fuel door (17). Discard seal.5. Inspect parts for damage and replace as required.AssemblyWARNING1. Clean rubber strip mating surface on fuel door (17) with dry--cleaning solvent.2. Apply rubber strip adhesive to new rubber strip (16) and mating surface on fuel door (17).3. Install new rubber strip (16) on fuel door (17).4. Install armor plate (15) on fuel door assembly (1) with four screws (14) and four new self--locking nuts (13).5. Install plate (12) on fuel door assembly (1) with six new drive screws (11).NOTEFlat washer may be used as a spacer to make cotter pinmate with slots in nut.6. Install handle (10) and latch (8) on fuel door assembly (1) with new spring washer (9), flat washer (7), nut (6) andnew cotter pin (5).Figure 2161089756111121314151617
