WARNING
Hoist cable cutter contains an explosive cartridge. Use extreme caution when
handling to prevent injury to personnel. Spark or static producing clothing is
prohibited. Anytime cable cutter harness is disconnected, install shorting device or
piece of aluminum foil between cartridge pins and install shipping cap to prevent
accidental firing.
4. Install shorting device.
WARNING
Handle CAD in accordance with DoD and Army regulations.
5. Cut lockwire and remove cartridge (4) and packing (3) from cable cutter assembly (2).
