WARNING
Hoist cable cutter contains an explosive cartridge. Use extreme caution when
handling to prevent injury to personnel. Spark or static producing clothing is
prohibited. Anytime cable cutter harness is disconnected, install shorting device
or piece of aluminum foil between cartridge pins and install shipping cap to
prevent accidental firing.
1. Ensure electrical connector is secured.
2. Inspect visible areas of cable cutter for nicks, cracks, and corrosion.
3. Inspect electrical cable for frayed and broken insulation, cuts, and tears.
