Remove knob and cover.2. Remove foam pre-cleaner by sliding it off of thepaper cartridge.3. a. Wash foam pre-cleaner in kerosene orliquid detergent and water.b. Wrap foam pre-cleaner in cloth andsqueeze dry.c. Saturate foam pre-cleaner in engine oil.Squeeze to remove excess oil.4. Install foam pre-cleaner over paper cartridge.Reassemble cover and screw knob down tight.Yearly or every 100 hours, whichever occurs first,remove paper cartridge. Service more often ifnecessary. Clean by tapping gently on flat surface. Ifvery dirty, replace cartridge, or wash in a low ornonsudsing detergent and warm water solution. Rinsethoroughly with flowing water from inside until water isclear. Cartridge must be allowed to stand and air drythoroughly before using.CAUTION:Petroleum solvents, such as kerosene, arenot to be used to clean cartridge. They may causedeterioration of the cartridge.DO NOT OIL CARTRIDGE.
