Using hammer and drift, in-stall new carrier housing plain encasedseal (1 ) on winch brake housing (2).2 Install pipe plug (3) and new preformedpacking (4) in winch brake housing (2).DRUM WINCH (CONT).3 Support planetary winch drum (5) in a ver-tical position with winch control end ontop.4 Install winch brake (2) on planetary winchdrum (5) and secure with 11 socket headcapscrews (6). Torque socket headcapscrews to 40 ft-lb (54 N-m).5 Install self-aligning roller bearing (7) onwinch brake housing (2).2-122
