MAINTENANCE OF STAGE FOUR CARRIER ASSEMBLY (CONT).INSPECTION/REPAIR1 Inspect for broken, damaged, or missing parts.2 If carrier is broken, damaged, or missing, repair is by replacement of next higher assembly.3 If any kit component is damaged, replace entire winch stage four carrier parts kit.4 Repair is by replacement of authorized parts (TM 9-2350-238-24P-2).RESESSEMBLY1 Install helical compression spring (1) andwinch spring stop (2) in rigid shaft coupl-ing (3),RETAININGRING PLYIERSARBOR PRESS23Using arbor press, compress helical com-pression spring (1) and winch spring stop(2) inside rigid shaft coupling (3).Using retaining ring pliers, install retainingring (4) in rigid shaft coupling (3). Slowlyrelease pressure and remove rigid shaftcoupling from arbor press.2-148
