CHAPTER 2: VEHICLE MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONSTM 9-2350-256-202-19 ELECTRICAL TROUBLESHOOTING-ContinuedAPU GENERATOR SYSTEM (SINGLE VOLTAGE)-ContinuedWARNINGRemove all jewelry such as rings, dogtags, bracelets, etc. If jewelry contactsa metal surface a direct short may resultin instant heating of tools, damage toequipment, and injury or death topersonnel.P Reconnect bulkhead to engine wiring harness andstarter relay wiring harness to bulkhead. Disconnectwire J of switch panel to neutral safety switch tobulkhead wiring harness from APU control box to footdimmer switch and bulkhead wiring harness. Place redlead of multimeter in female connector wire J and blacklead to ground. Turn MASTER and APU GEN switchesON and check for voltage. Turn MASTER and APUGEN switches OFF. If voltage is present, replace wire Jof switch panel to neutral safety to bulkhead wiringharness (see paragraph 6-54). If voltage is not present,repair/replace wire J of APU control box to foot dimmerswitch and bulkhead wiring harness (see paragraph 6-80).Q Reconnect APU control box to foot dimmer switch andbulkhead wiring harness to APU control box.Disconnect bulkhead to engine harness and starter relaywiring harness from bulkhead disconnect. Place redlead of multimeter in socket G of wire C and black leadto ground. Turn MASTER and APU GEN switches ONand check for voltage. Turn MASTER and APU GENswitches OFF. If voltage is present, go to step R. Ifvoltage is not present, go step S.2-154
