SECTION V: TROUBLESHOOTINGTM 9-2350-256-20WARNINGRemove all jewelry such as rings, dogtags, bracelets, etc. If jewelry contacts ametal surface a direct short may result ininstant heating of tools, damage toequipment, and injury or death topersonnel.HReconnect headlight and dimmer switch wiringharness to dimmer switch. Disconnect wire 514 ofheadlight base assembly at connector. Place red leadof multimeter in wire 514 and black lead to ground.Turn MASTER switch on, UNLOCK and move mainlighting switch to B.O. DRIVE position, B.O.SELECTOR switch to IR, press dimmer switch, andcheck voltage. Turn MASTER, main lighting, B.O.SELECTOR, and dimmer switches off. If voltage ispresent, repair/replace wire 514 of headlight basewiring harness (see paragraph 6-64). If voltage is notpresent, repair/replace wire 514 of headlight anddimmer switch wiring harness (see paragraph 6-65).IPlace red lead multimeter in socket C of wire 514/515and black lead to ground. Turn MASTER switch on,UNLOCK and move main lighting switch to B.O.DRIVE position, B.O. SELECTOR switch to IR, andcheck for voltage. Turn MASTER, main lighting, andB.O. SELECTOR switches off. If voltage is present,replace dimmer switch (see paragraph 6-25). Ifvoltage is not present, go to step J.2—293
