SERVICE CONDITION (IR HEADLIGHTS-ContinuedWARNINGRemove all jewelry such as rings, dogtags, bracelets, etc. If jewelry contacts ametal surface a direct short may result ininstant heating of tools, damage toequipment, and injury or death topersonnel.JReconnect headlight and dimmer switch wiringharness to dimmer switch. Remove three screws (6),three lockwashers (7), ground lead (8), and flatwasher (9) and release main switch panel (10) frommounting brackets. Disconnect switch panel to gagepanel and miscellaneous switches wiring harnessfrom main switch panel. Place red lead ofmultimeter on pin N of wire 10 and black lead toground. Turn MASTER switch on and check forvoltage. Turn MASTER switch OFF. If voltage ispresent, go to step K. If voltage is not present, go tostep S.KPlace a jumper wire from pin N to socket N of wire10. Place red lead of multimeter in socket A of wire514/515 and black lead to ground. Turn MASTERswitch on, UNLOCK and move main lighting switchto B.O. DRIVE position, B.O. SELECTOR switch toIR, and check for voltage. Turn MASTER mainlighting, and B.O. SELECTOR switches off. Ifvoltage is present, go to step L. If voltage is notpresent, go to step M2—294
