SECTION V: TROUBLESHOOTINGTM 9-2350-256-20WARNINGRemove all jewelry such as rings, dogtags, bracelets, etc. If jewelry contacts ametal surface a direct short may result ininstant heating of tools, damage toequipment, and injury or death topersonnel.CReconnect headlight base assembly to left handheadlight assembly. Disconnect wire 19 of headlightand dimmer switch wiring harness from switch panelto gage panel and miscellaneous switches wiringharness. Place red lead of multimeter on maleconnector of wire 19 and black lead to ground. TurnMASTER switch on, UNLOCK and move mainlighting switch to B.O. DRIVE position, B.O.SELECTOR switch to B.O. position, and check forvoltage. Turn MASTER, main lighting, and B.O.SELECTOR switches OFF. If voltage is present, goto step D. If voltage is not present, go to step E.DReconnect wire 19 of headlight and dimmer switchwiring harness to switch panel to gage panel andmiscellaneous switches wiring harness. Disconnectwire 19 of headlight base assembly from headlightand dimmer switch wiring harness. Place red lead ofmultimeter in wire 19 and black to ground. TurnMASTER switch on, UNLOCK and move mainlighting switch to B.O. DRIVE position, B.O.SELECTOR switch to B.O. position, and check forvoltage. Turn MASTER, main lighting, and B.O.SELECTOR switches OFF. If voltage is not present,repair/replace wire 19 of headlight and dimmerswitch wiring harness (see paragraph 6-65). Ifvoltage is present, repair/replace wire 19 of headlightbase wiring harness (see paragraph 6-64).2—315
