A swinging or shiftingload maycause injury or death topersonnel.NOTESling (69) is premarked to ensure properrigging for powerplant (70) removal.30Remove power-plant (70) from vehicle hull (71)using sling (69).31Remove two preformed packings (72) from eachside of transmission saddle (73).Do not step on shifting, steering, or brake linkages after removing powerplant. Damage to linkagescould result.32 Install steering clutch housing output shaft parts kit (74). Cover ends of left and right output reductionassemblies in hull with tape or other suitable item after removal of powerplant.b. INSTALLATIONNOTEPrior to installation, inspect and adjust fire extinguisher nozzles in engine compartment and checkthat all powerplant lines, cables, accessories, and other components are properly installed,tightened, and adjusted. Inspect transmission output reduction drives and engine mountings andconnections in engine compartment to determine if items are serviceable and positioned to receivepowerplant.Clean (flush) engine compartment prior to installation of powerplant.Prior to installation of powerplant, perform necessary engine compartment lubricating procedures(refer to TM 9-2350-256-10).Change 13-7
