Check clearance between tip of each fan blade and
rim of cooling fan housing (9) with feeler gage. If
clearance is less than 0.062 inch (in.) (1.58
millimeters [mm] ) at any point, loosen cooling fan
housing mounting screws (10) and shift cooling fan
housing to gain clearance.

Using torque wrench, check release torque of
cooling fan clutch. If clutch does not release at
approximately 20 lb-ft (27 Nm), notify Direct
Support Maintenance.

Position housing (1) on cooling fan housing (9) and
install four screws (2) and four new lockwashers
(3).
NOTE
Follow-on maintenance:
Install shroud seals
(see paragraph 5-1)
