TM 9-2350-256-34-1 Section IX.  REPAIR OF HYDRAULIC COMPONENTS 3-50. Description The   hydraulic   system   is   comprised   of   an   operating boom,  main  winch,  hoist  winch,  spade  and  associated valves  and  subassemblies.    This  system  is  powered  by the    main    hydraulic    pump    which    is    driven    by    the mechanical  transmission.    The  transmission  derives  its power through the power takeoff (PTO) shaft coupled to the   front   end   of   the   engine.      The   auxiliary   hydraulic system    provides    supplementary    power    for    auxiliary equipment  operation  and  emergency  power  to  assist  in recovery operations. 3-51.
