NOTE
If studs were removed or are being replaced, proceed to the
next step; otherwise, proceed to step 8.
7. Install two studs (19) in APU cover.
8. Loosely install top and bottom clamps (12) on two studs (19) with four springs (18), eight flat washers (17) and
two nuts (16).

9. Install muffler (20) by sliding tail pipe end of muffler (20) through clamps (12). Slide clamp (22) over other end of
muffler (20), assemble new gasket (21) to muffler (20) and fit against elbow (23). Slide clamp (22) in place and
tighten.
10. Fasten top and bottom clamps (12) on muffler (20) with two screws (14), two new lockwashers (15) and two nuts
(13). Tighten screws (14) and nuts (13).
11. Tighten nuts (16) secure securing top and bottom clamps (12) to studs (19). Do not over tighten nuts (16).
