Remove two assembled--washer screws (14) and bracket (13) from engine. Discard assembled--washer screws.7. Remove elbow (8) from solenoid valve (2).8. Remove fuel shutoff valve (6) from adapter (15).9. Remove adapter (15) from solenoid valve (2).WARNING10. Remove nonelectrical wire (16) from fuel shutoff valve (6). Discard nonelectrical wire.11. Inspect parts for damage and replace as required.InstallationNOTEIf new solenoid valve is used, remove protective coversand felt filtering disks (if present) from inlet and outletports.Check position of electrical connector by holding solenoidvalve with inlet port to right side. Electrical connectormust be positioned directly above inlet port. To reposi-tion, place solenoid valve in soft--jawed vise, loosenacorn nut at top of solenoid valve, reposition electricalconnector and torque acorn nut to 50 in--lb (5.7 NSm).1. Install adapter (15) in solenoid valve (2).2. Install fuel shutoff valve (6) on adapter (15).3. Install elbow (8) in solenoid valve (2).4.
