Remove cotter pin (1) and headed pin (2), separate bottom of shock absorber (3) from lower bracket (4). Discardcotter pin.2. Remove cotter pin (5), headed pin (6) and shock absorber (3) from upper bracket (7). Discard cotter pin.3. Remove four screws (8), four lockwashers (9) and lower bracket (4) from vehicle. Discard lockwashers.4. Remove four screws (10), four lockwashers (11) and upper bracket (7) from vehicle. Discard lockwashers.Disassembly1. Remove three staked positions on each side of shock absorber (3) that retains bearing (12).2. Remove bearing (12) from shock absorber (3).WARNING3. Clean all components and mating surfaces of upper bracket and vehicle hull and screws (10) with dry--cleaningsolvent.4.
