TM 9--2350--292--20--2 0528 00--1 HOIST BOOM STAYLINE TREE REPLACEMENT 0528 00 THIS WORK PACKAGE COVERS: Removal, Installation INITIAL SETUP: Tools and Special Tools General mechanic’s tool kit (item 1, WP 0717 00) Slide puller (item 46, WP 0717 00) Endless sling (item 23, WP 0717 00) Suitable lifting device (250 lbs (113.5 kg) min cap) Materials/Parts Lockwashers (12) (item 2, WP 0718 00) Hardwood lumber (item 4, WP 0716 00) Antiseize compound (item 90, WP 0716 00) Equipment Conditions Boom raised and blocked (TM 9--2350--292--10) Stayline tree chain assembly removed (WP 0525 00) Personnel Required Two References TM 9--2350--292--10 Removal WARNING Failure to block up boom may result in death or injury to personnel. 1. Block tree with hardwood blocks. 2. Remove four screws (1), four lockwashers (2), four flat washers (3) and two brackets (4) from each of two tree shoes (5). Discard lockwashers. 3. Remove two screws (8), two lockwashers (9), slotted washer (10), pin (11) and separate two tree shoes (5). Dis- card lockwashers. NOTE Endless sling and suitable lifting device may be required to replace tree shoes. 4. Remove cables (6 and 7) from two tree shoes (5). 5. Inspect parts for damage and replace as required.
