Pulltow winch wire rope clevis (2) outthrough opening.Shift which only when winch isat full stop. Winch internalgears may be damaged if winchis shifted while being operated.6 Pull up on control lever trigger (3) andturn shift control lever (4) fully clockwiseto LO position for low speed operation oftow winch. Release control lever trigger(3) to lock control. Always use winch inLO when winching loads.Always wear leather gloves(item 31, appx B) when han-dling winch cable. Never allowcable to run through hands.Broken wires can cause painfulinjuries. Do not operatewinch/crane with less than fourturns of wire rope on drums.Failure to observe these warn-ings could result in injuries topersonnel.7 Turn shift control lever (4) to N (neutral)position for pulling winch wire rope fromtow winch by hand or other mechanicalmeans.8 Turn shift control lever (4) fullycounterclockwise to HI (high speed) topay out winch wire rope or reel in a lightload. Always pay in wire rope ontowinch with a load for tight wrap onwinch drum.llNOTEWinch internal brakes holdwinch until released byoperating tow winch controlhandle.All controls are spring-loadedto return to center position.Hold onto control handle atall times when operatingwinch.9 Push tow winch control handle (5) for-ward to OUT to pay out wire rope.10 Slowly move control handle (5) to centerposition to stop winch.11 Pull tow winch control handle (5) downto IN to pay in wire rope.2-80
