Read and heed allWARNINGS and CAUTIONSwhich apply to safe operationof vehicle and accessories.Before moving vehicles, make sure of thefollowing:That boom is centered forward overvehicle and single boom block is securedto eye.That all basic issue items are stowed andsecure.That lockout control valve handle (1) isin UNLOCKED position and SUSPENSIONLOCKED indicator light (2) is OFF.l Reduce engine speed to(650-700 rpm) before shift-ing transmission into gear.l Do not shift into reverse gearunless vehicle is at a deadstop and engine is operatingat idle rpm.l When starting on a hill, de-press brake and place trans-mission in low “1” position,increase engine speed andrelease brake.l Don’t hold vehicle on an up-grade by using accelerator asa brake. Transmission willoverheat.Do not coast down grade.Downshift when going downsteep hills. Use range 2 or 3on long grades (0-15%),and range 1 on steep grades(15 - 30%).This vehicle has a semiauto-matic transmission. it mustbe shifted manually.123Depress brake pedal (1), lift up on park-ing brake handle (2), and push in onparking brake handle to release parkingbrake.With brake pedal (1) depressed, enginerunning at 650-700 rpm, release shiftlever latch (3) and shift from N (neutral)to range 1.Release brake pedal (1) and depress ac-celerator (4) to obtain necessary vehiclespeed.
