CHAPTER 2: VEHICLE MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONSTM 9-2350-256-202-19 ELECTRICAL TROUBLESHOOTING--ContinuedENGINE OIL PRESSURE GAGE--Continued .WARNINGRemove all jewelry such as rings, dog tags,bracelets, etc. If jewelry contacts a metalsurface a direct short may result in instantheating of tools, damage to equipment,and injury or death to personnel.ARemove three screws (1), three lockwashers (2), twoscrews (3), two lockwashers (4), and ground strap (5)and release gage panel (6) from mounting brackets.Remove gage panel to bulkhead wiring harness fromgage panel. Place red lead of multimeter in socket Kof wire 27 and black lead to ground. Turn MASTERswitch on and check for voltage. Turn MASTER switchOFF. If voltage is present, go to step B. If voltage isnot present, troubleshoot power control lever circuit.BReconnect gage panel to bulkhead wiring harness togage panel. Disconnect wire 27A from engine oilpressure gage. Place red lead of multimeter in wire27A and black lead to ground. Turn MASTER switchon and check for voltage. Turn MASTER switch OFF.If voltage is present, go to step C. If voltage is notpresent, repair/replace wire 27A of gage panel wiringharness (see paragraph 6-44).2-106
